Why is the contract unsigned?
The absence of a signature does not automatically render a contract non-binding. Please refer to the guidance below to determine whether a signature is required for your specific agreement.
The General Agreement covers the general terms and conditions, and the Individual Contract confirms the specifics of the deal closed.
If the General Agreement is with STX B.V.:
Please refer to your General Agreement and review clause 2; typically, this information can be found in clause 2.4. If you are unsure of the location of your GA, please see here.
Clause 2.4 may stipulate that, upon sending the individual contract, the client is deemed to have agreed to its binding nature within a defined number of business days. Importantly, the enforceability and validity of the individual contract may not be contingent upon the presence of a signature; the contract may be legally binding despite the absence of signature.
If the General Agreement is with STX LLC:
Please refer to your General Agreement and review clause 1; typically, this information can be found in clause 1.1. If you are unsure of the location of your GA, please see here.
