Why do we need redemption details?

To guarantee that STX can redeem the volumes on your behalf smoothly, please ensure that all required information is accurately provided.

Once the Energy Attribute Certificate is redeemed (cancelled), we ask for redemption details to:

  1. Ensure credible Scope 2 and sustainability reporting.
  2. Redeem the volumes on your behalf that comply with registry and market rules.

The redemption details must include the beneficiary name, consumption period and country of consumption to meet compliance obligations. If any of these elements are missing, the report is considered incomplete, which can introduce unnecessary administrative complexity and create additional work when submitting documentation.

Beneficiary name

Beneficiary name or Site details refer to the legal entity or specific location that is designated as the recipient of the environmental benefits associated with the certificate redemption. This information establishes which company or operational site will officially account for the environmental attributes in its sustainability reporting. Accurate identification ensures that the environmental benefits are properly allocated, traceable, and recognized under relevant market standards.

Consumption period

The consumption period defines which reporting period the certificate will be allocated to. This data is automatically populated based on the conditions of the deal. If this needs to updated, you can let us know here

Country of consumption

Country of consumption identifies the location where the certificate has been redeemed. On the Climate Tech digital platform, this is determined based on the country of operation of the provided beneficiary. Accordingly, it is essential to ensure the beneficiary (site) information is accurate.
